Making Our Way – An Ambition for Visual Art in Sheffield 2019-2024
Making Our Way – an ambition for Visual Arts in Sheffield 2019-2024, is a vision for the sector which was published in July 2019. It was developed under the guidance of the Making Ways Steering Group, the governance body for Making Ways; an Ambition for Excellence project awarded to Sheffield Culture Consortium to support the visual arts in Sheffield and delivered 2016-19. Individual artists, curators, writers and organisations small and large contributed to the document to create a collective vision for the visual arts in Sheffield. A Visual Art Panel has been set up to help monitor and implement this vision.
The Visual Art Panel has been meeting once a month since August 2020. Panel members were selected from applications which were invited by Open Call in January from arts organisations and visual artists in the city.
