Celebrate Sheffield’s culture, have fun, and feel nostalgic at this year’s Weston Park May Fayre.
Hosted in the ever popular Western Park, the free event will be held on Sunday 22May between 11am and 5pm, promises to be a great day out for the family.
This year’s fayre will feature ‘Year of the Making Sheffield 2016’ showcasing some of the city’s greatest artists and innovators.
Not only will their work be on displaybut visitors can see them at work demonstrating their craft.
Sheffield City Council has worked closely with the Year of Making partnership which includes The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Culture Consortium and Sheffield Hallam University on the marquee that will exhibit some of the city’s talented makers.
The event will also include street entertainment, children’s arts and crafts, exhibition stands, a display of classic and vintage cars and the traditional carousal and other rides. Live music will be performed from a restored Victorian bandstand and bar and food stalls will be available.
Various fundraising activities will also take place at the event for charity partner the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
The fayre is also sponsored by Sheffield City Council, The University of Sheffield and Heart FM.
