Join Denys Edwards Players in their celebration 50th anniversary production of The Stirrings in Sheffield on Saturday Night.

First produced in 1966 at the old Sheffield Playhouse and later at the Crucible Theatre, The Stirrings in Sheffield on Saturday Night tells of the ‘orrible outrages in Sheffield, during the 1860s.

This lively action, song and dance production about William Broadhead and the struggle between The Sawgrinders’ Union and Non-Union Labour, has earned a well-respected place in the city’s theatrical history.

The Stirrings in Sheffield on Saturday Night is from Tuesday 2nd August to Saturday 6th August 7.30pm,
Saturday matinee 2.30 pm at The Library Theatre, Tudor Square.
