In December, the Government announced their decisions for a £830 million funding boost for high streets. The funding is from the Future High Streets Fund and will help 72 areas in England to recover from the pandemic and deliver ambitious regeneration plans, including Sheffield – which was awarded £15,817,001, and was one of only 15 places who had full funding confirmed, with the other 57 paces securing lesser or conditional offers. The funding will help to provide a substantial financial boost for the historic heart of the city centre and shape the future of how Sheffield residents and visitors use this space.
