Sheffield Zine Fest 2016

Past Events

On 30 April, zine-makers and zine-readers of all kinds will come together to share, swap and sell their DIY creations at the fourth annual Sheffield Zine Fest at The Hubs, organised by local zinesters Bettie Walker and Chella Quint.

Expect stall holders showcasing the trusty lo-fi, cut-stick-photocopy-staple method, alongside others who get a little more experimental with the format, incorporating various craft and print techniques and some crafts besides. Ideas and approaches may vary, but what unites the zinesters is passion: for their chosen subject or cause, and for sharing that with others using whatever tools they have to hand.

Throughout the day there’ll be zine-making, mail art and screen printing  workshops. As long as you can cut/fold/stick/draw/write/form your own ideas, you can make a zine. Levels of skill and experience won’t be called into question.

It’s as democratic as that. All ages, genders and abilities welcome! 11am-4pm at The Hubs, Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union, Paternoster Row, S1 2QQ.
