The Freelands Artist Programme is a five-year visual arts funding programme that aims to champion emerging talent. The initiative is designed to support and grow regional arts ecosystems by fostering long-term relationships and collaborations between emerging artists and arts organisations across the country.
Following an open call for applicants this summer, five Sheffield-based artists have been selected for a two-year paid residency as part of Platform, funded by The Freelands Artist Programme. Each artist will receive over £20,000 worth of investment including a fee, specialist support, professional development and opportunities to exhibit.
The following artists have been selected as the third cohort to join the programme and will begin their two-year residency in January 2021:
