OPPORTUNITY: Become a Trustee at Yorkshire Artspace

Yorkshire Artspace is seeking trustees to work alongside new Director Georgina Kettlewell, a dedicated staff team and the community of artists and makers who form the society’s membership. Previous trustee experience is not required.

Yorkshire Artspace provides studio space for around 170 artists and makers across two sites in Sheffield city centre. They are a centre of excellence for the support of artists and makers, providing good quality, affordable studio space and delivering a professional development programme which offers exhibition opportunities, access to training and subsidised Starter Studios. They are committed to creating opportunities for artists and artistic practices to develop, to raising artists’ profiles, developing audiences for their work and supporting individuals to develop their own talent and engagement with visual art.

With a newly appointed Director and an agenda for change, they are seeking additional charity trustees, ideally based in Sheffield or the surrounding region, to work with the Director, staff team and membership to steer the strategic direction and governance of the charity as they re-set and focus on the future.
