June 27 / 6pm / Please book here
As we approach the end of the programme, Making Ways will host a celebration event and launch a Visual Art Statement for Sheffield. There will also be an opportunity to see films created during the project, share a drink, network and reflect on what Making Ways has delivered.
The Visual Art Statement
Making Ways commissioned Julia Bell to help develop a Visual Art Vision Statement for the city, which sets out plans to develop Sheffield as an excellent place for visual art – for artists, local, national and international audiences, visitors and collectors. Julia has consulted with arts organisations and artists across Sheffield when drawing this together.
The Visual Art Statement forms the legacy of partnership working that has been rooted within the sector over the last three years and will be an ambitious vision for the visual arts which unites the sector, ignites passion and sparks the interest of stakeholders, funders and generates cross sectoral partnerships to help realise the visual arts’ ambition.
