Free weekend of craftsmanship displays and activities in the stunning new home of Sheffield Institute of Arts in the old Head Post Office (Sat 11am Р4pm, Sun 11am Р3pm)

A rare opportunity to see the workshops where students design and make.

Try some metalwork and woodwork activities yourself.

See the degree shows of students including Interior Design, Jewellery and Metalwork, Furniture and Product Design, Fashion Design and Design and Technology.

Could you be the next Omar Ramsden, the internationally renowned silversmith who studied at Sheffield’s School of Art in the late 1800s, and regularly visited Ruskin’s collection at St George’s Museum in Walkley?

Other Make Good Livelihoods weekend activities take place at the Millennium Gallery (Sat 11am – 4pm, Sun 11am – 3pm), Portland Works (Sat 11am – 5pm) ¬†and Access Space (Sun 11am – 4pm). Part of Ruskin in Sheffield 2016 and Sheffield Hallam University’s Catalyst Festival of Creativity.
