This workshop is free, we are asking for a £10 deposit which will secure your place and will be refunded when you arrive. Join us for a workshop to improve and hone your fixing and woodworking skills.
We’ll start the day off with a theory session, fixing to walls – where we will talk through the difference between the fixings you use in solid walls and hollow walls and how to detect pipes and cables.
Following a short break, we will then move onto the woodworking session: making a window box. This will involve developing skills in measuring, sawing (by hand or with a jigsaw) cutting decorative shapes, drilling & screwing.
The workshop will run from 10am – 3pm. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
In collaboration with The Year of Making, Line Cut Supply will be hosting a series of inspiring talks and workshops to explore the role of women in manufacturing and industry.
Each month we’ll be concentrating on a theme: trades, technology, manufacturing and engineering.
Based in the gallery at the Yorkshire Artspace Persistence Works building and open to the public from 11am -6pm Thursday & Friday and 11am- 5pm on Saturday, we’d love you to pop in and say hello!
