Radical Materials is the last in a series of exhibitions as part of Construction House and focuses on the practical workshops held at the Bauhaus, which brought together creativity and experimentation with materials with industrial manufacturing processes. Including newly commissioned work by artists Joseph Cutts, Peter Martin & Jon Cannon and Emily Musgrave, alongside Marianne Brandt’s iconic desk set, tray and coaster holder and László Moholy-Nagy’s only abstract film, A Lightplay: Black White Gray (1930).
There is still time to check out Construction House: Leisure Time which continues to 9 Feb.
Leisure Time explores the creative potential of physical activity and relaxation through newly commissioned work by artists Natalie Finnemore, Vicky Hayward and Lucy Vann, alongside Gertrud Grunow’s Colour Circle and T. Lux Feininger’s iconic photographs of Karla Grosch’s gymnastics classes on the Bauhaus Dessau roof.
