Art Walks | Sheffield –  July

Making Ways

28 July 2018 / 11am- 1pm / Free  / Book on Eventbrite
Meet at Sheffield Institute of Arts, Sheffield Hallam University, Fitzalan Square, S1 2AY
Art Walks offer unique, individually curated perspectives on the many different visual arts practices throughout the city. This walk will be led by Paul Evans, a multi-portfolio practitioner based at Persistence Works, and will take in two substantial group shows featuring challenging work by contemporary artists; the FABS (Fine Art Bridge Scheme Exhibition) and BLOC Members show.
This exhibition will include the work of artists who were selected for the first year of FABS, a mentoring and residency scheme, developed in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University, specifically aimed at supporting recent graduates. FABS allows a group of ten early career artists to work with local arts organisations to build their experience and confidence within Sheffield’s visual arts community.
Bloc Projects Members Show 2018
An exhibition presenting a selection of artists from across the UK who are currently benefiting from being part of the Bloc Projects Members Scheme. This annual group exhibition is a fantastic chance to see artists testing the boundaries of sculpture, painting, video, installation, and a range of other mediums and techniques.
